Atticus Johnston

is the author of the novella “Waiting on a Friend," his debut work draws from his personal experiences growing up in Calgary, Alberta, and his close friendship with his Indigenous best friend. As a widower after 32 years of marriage and a proud father of four, Atticus brings a wealth of life experiences to try and explore the themes of racism, friendship, personal identity, self-worth, and depression during high school societal pressure. His writing blends personal reflection with deeply human storytelling, offering readers both a heartfelt narrative and a glimpse into the journey faced by many in the world today. When he's not writing, Atticus enjoys coaching football, spending time with friends, and engaging in debates for the sake of a good argument.
